Description
This Select & Better White Oak flooring is made entirely of Quarter Sawn White Oak lumber, making it the densist, and most dimensionally stable white oak hardwood flooring you can buy.
This quarter sawn white oak flooring is structurally superior to plain sawn white oak flooring in every way. Because of the angle at which the hardwood is sawn, the growth rings are nearly parallel to the surface of the planks, resulting in a plank that expands vertically, instead of horizontally when exposed to excessive moisture in the air or subflooring. This means you are less likely to experience difficulties with your hardwood flooring after installation.
Quarter Sawn white oak flooring is known for it’s meduliary rays that create what is sometimes referred to as the ribbon and fleck pattern, that is highly coveted for fine furniture, flooring, doors and other hardwood products.
Each of these Select & Better Grade, Quarter Sawn white oak flooring planks measures 3/4″ thick, 7″ wide, and come in random lengths from 1 to 8 feet long.
