Description
Our Character Hickory Stair Treads are selected for the color and grain variations that are synonymous with Hickory hardwoods. These variations are what makes Hickory unique and desirable for flooring and staircase applications.
Each tread is 1 inch thick and 11 1/2″ deep. The depth is achieved by multiple pieces, known as staves, being edge-glued together at the factory using specialized equipment to achieve a zero visibility glue line. Lengths available are 36″, 42″, 48″, 54″, 60″, 72″, 84″, 94″, 108″, 120″, 132″ and 144″. To select the size you need, simply use the drop down menu on this page.
We offer these treads in either Unfinished or Prefinished formats. Use the menu on this page to choose between Unfinished or Prefinished. While the Prefinished treads will cost more at the time of purchase, they will save you on labor time and materials, and the finish will be of a higher quality than what would be achievable at a jobsite.

The front nose is 1 Inch thick, and features a bullnose (half round) all the way across the front. The opposite side of the stair nosing has a groove to receive the tongue of your hardwood flooring. |
