Description
Chateau Nord, part of the European White Oak collection by Bare Roots Hardwood, is a premium wire brushed wide plank engineered hardwood in a 5/8″ total thickness. The top layer of European White Oak is a solid sawn 4mm wear layer, which is twice the average wear layer of engineered hardwoods on the market. Chateau Nord is a medium-brown tone with a two-step stain process that includes white-washing for enhanced character.
Each of these wire-brushed European Oak planks is 7 1/2″ wide and most planks (70%) are 73″ long, while the remaining 30% range from 2 to 4 feet long to start rows and stagger end-joints for a proper random length appearance. Natural characteristics like knots and mineral marks add charm to the intriguing grain patterns of this imported oak hardwood. Wire brushing highlights the varying textures of the grains to bring the vibrance of the grain to life.
These wide plank floors are precision milled with tongue & groove sides and ends for easy installation over a variety of subfloor types, including wood and concrete. Over concrete slabs, either glue-down or floating installation are recommended. Over wooden subfloors you can choose from either nail-down, staple-down, glue-down, or floating installation methods, based on your preference and skill level of your installers.
